Hannah Lee (she/he/they)

Hannah is a Glasgow-based music educator graduating from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2016 studying music teaching, engaging and collaborating in various art-forms and practices. As a student, they developed their passion for teaching, community music, and Kodaly methodology. They now works as a music teacher, freelance musician and collaborating artist.

Hannah has over 10 years of teaching experience in various settings and over 7 years of Kodaly training that they have been incorporating into their practices. They achieved a high distinction for level 7 Kodaly musicianship awarded through the British Kodaly Academy and in 2020 attended the Early Years Music Education Study Tour in Budapest observing parent and baby/parent toddler classes/kindergarten/lower primary classes plus workshops with Early Years Hungarian Master Teacher Helga Dietrich.

They currently teach flute, voice, drums, theory and musicianship for East Renfrewshire Music Services, GLAD Foundation and privately. They also depute for Big Noise as a woodwind and musicianship instructor amongst choirs, ensembles and projects across Greater Glasgow.

In addition, Hannah is passionate about inclusive music-making and regularly attends various lectures, seminars and CPD workshops constantly developing their skills as a musician but most importantly as an educator. They have directed mental health choirs for NHS Lothian and See Me Scotland, sat on panels for anti-racist events with ESA Scotland, Racial Justice Network and RCS Cultural Diversity and have regularly been involved in performances with the Glasgow Women’s Library.

When they are not working, Hannah enjoys tango and eating out. They are also a big cat lover.
